Consultation has concluded

The Barossa Creative Industries Centre is a blueprint for a contemporary arts and cultural facility at Barossa Regional Gallery in Tanunda.

Key features include:

  • broadcasting, production and workshop facilities
  • exhibition, function and event spaces
  • digital and contemporary heritage library facility
  • external performance, art and community spaces

Artist accommodation at Tanunda Community Club and a proposed culinary institute at Chateau Tanunda winery are also proposed for the precinct.

In April 2018 Council undertook extensive community consultation on the masterplan. In addition to community and stakeholder engagement, Council hosted pop-ups at Barossa History Fair, Barossa Regional Gallery, Mount Pleasant Farmers Market and Williamstown town centre.

The consultation attracted 42 formal submissions and 79 informal submissions. In June 2018 Council adopted the masterplan and continues to seek grant funding to deliver the project.
