The Early Childhood Strategy recognises the importance of the first five years of life for child development, and the value Council places on the early years.
It identifies four strategic priorities, articulates what is in and out of scope for The Barossa Council, and provides a series of actions to be implemented by Council in the next three years.
The four strategic priorities to support childhood development are centred around:
how children play, learn and connect;
family access to services and resources;
opportunities for professional collaboration
enhanced community understanding around the importance of childhood development
