We're inviting community feedback on our Representation Review.
Approximately every eight (8) years, South Australian councils are required to undertake a Representation Review to determine whether the community would benefit from an alteration to the Council’s composition or ward structure.
The Barossa Council is currently comprised of the Mayor and eleven (11) Council Members, each of which are elected by the electors of the area as a whole. The Council proposes to maintain this structure and composition.
Any changes to our structure and composition arising from this process will take effect from the next periodic Local Government Elections, currently set for November 2026.
