Consultation has concluded
Our seven community cemeteries are the resting place for many of our district's past pioneers and respected citizens. We want to manage these facilities in a caring, equitable and efficient way, and in line with community expectations.
Our draft Cemetery Management Policy outlines how we will maintain our cemeteries, the expectations of people visiting our cemeteries and interment rights (previously called a lease). The draft Policy also addresses how memorials and ornaments are managed.
Consultation runs from 24 March to 14 April 2021.
